TOWN OF WHEATLAND NOTICE OF HEARING UPON PRELIMINARY BUDGET

Notice is hereby given that the Preliminary Budget of the Town of Wheatland for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2022, has been completed and filed at the Office of the Town Clerk in Scottsville, New York, where it is available for inspection by any interested person during regular business hours.

Further notice is hereby given that the Town Board of the Town of Wheatland will meet, and review said Preliminary Budget and hold a Special Hearing thereon at the Wheatland Municipal Building, 22 Main Street, Scottsville, New York at 6:00 P.M. on the 4th of November 2021 and that at such Hearing any person may be heard in favor of or against the Preliminary Budget as completed, or for or against any item therein contained.

Pursuant to Section 133 of the Town Law, the proposed salaries of the following Officers of the Town of Wheatland are hereby specified as follows:

The Zoning Board of Appeals of the Town of Wheatland will hold a Public Hearing on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 7:00 P.M. in the Wheatland Municipal Building, 22 Main Street, Scottsville, NY to consider the following:

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Proposed Budget of the Wheatland Scottsville Joint Fire District of the Town(s) of Wheatland, State of New York, will be presented to the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Wheatland Scottsville Joint Fire District, for its consideration. A PUBLIC HEARING will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Scottsville Fire Hall, 385 Scottsville­ Mumford Road, Scottsville, New York 1546, in the Town of Wheatland, State of New York on the 191h day of October, 2021. (The Budget hearing must be held annually on the third Tuesday in October.)

Pursuant to Town Law §181.3(a), the Board of Fire Commissioners must hold a public hearing on the budget, make the proposed budget available to the public prior to the public hearing, allow the public to comment on the budget at the public hearing. This public hearing must be held to allow maximum public participation in the hearing. In support of the Comprehensive Broadband Connectivity Act, enacted in May of this year, the New York State Public Service Commission is required to study the availability, reliability, and cost of high-speed internet and broadband services in New York state, and produce and publish on its website, a detailed internet access map of the state, indicating access to internet service by location.

In addition, the Act requires the Commission to submit a report of its findings and recommendations from the study to the Governor, and Senate and Assembly leaders in May 2022, and update the report annually thereafter. From the Supervisor: RG&E is nearing the completion of the construction of the CM-6 Natural Gas Pipeline in the Towns of Chili, Wheatland and Caledonia. As part of the commissioning of the new pipeline, RG&E will conduct a pressure test using water to certify and qualify the pipeline to operate at its designed pressure.
